Cataract Surgery

A cataract is the thickening of the eye’s lens which causes clouding and blurriness. When seeking treatment, you have the option of traditional surgery or laser surgery. Both options are viable, low risk, and with variable costs.

The process of cataract surgery begins with taking a 3D map of your eyes. The procedure itself only lasts 15-20 minutes and is non-painful. Afterward, you’ll likely experience some discomfort, but you’ll be able to go home the same day.

Eye Exams

Eye exams are routine and evaluate the entire health of your eyes. This process can be used to determine your prescription and creates a starting point for your optometrist. One key aspect of eye exams is the Snellen eye chart, which includes four rows of letters that decrease in size from top to bottom.

Multifocal Intraocular Lens Implants

Multifocal intraocular lens implants are a relatively new phenomenon that helps to correct vision. These implants expand your range of vision with next to no post-surgical complications. You can substitute them for traditional single-lens IOLs during cataract surgery (if necessary).

Multifocal intraocular lens implants can correct all vision variances, reducing presbyopia. They take a bifocal structure and act like permanent contact lenses. Costs will vary depending on your situation. Call our office to discuss your options.
